I've used it for residential, and I love it. Once you accept it's issues. But I've recently been doing commerical work (banks, gas stations, etc), and I've had a harder time finding the value in it immediately. To me, grading isn't as intuitive. I grade commerical sites by spots, so what I've been doign is correlating those spots into profiles along the curb. It works pretty well. But I think the real value is in the revisions. Once you get your site graded, it's all a piece of cake. It's easy to move the corridors, everything updates, pipes, etc.
I'll agree, it's not as good for commerical as residential. But it will get there I think.
