civil3d2007 odbc issues

ability to use odbc function with MsExcel and MsAccess fails to connect reliably. This entire function was change in the 2007 release and really needs to be reviewed by autodesk.
Map3d2007 service pack 3 was released to address some of the odbc issues but nothing released for the map side of the civil3d2007 program..........why? My support people have been unable to find the problem. Even a support tech at autodesk was unable to find the problem. Are others out there having similar odbc connection problems in the map part of civil3d2007 ? Just wanted to post the issues in hopes of getting a solution going from autodesk.
System.....Dell Precision 360- 3G ram- 100G scsi hard drive- Windows2000 pro- Ms office 2003- dual output nvidia video card w/onbrd memory. Will be converting to Windows xp....maybe this will solve issues.

FWIW, I understand that Map and AutoCAD SP's should be included in the
next C3D SP.
