base.dcl

After installing C3D 2006 I had error messages. So the only thing I found that worked was to uninstall 2005. After a couple of days I finally shut down my computer and restarted it. When I start up C3D or Land Desktop it comes up with error messages again.
First error message - "base.dcl" Can't find file
Second error message - Error loading dialog control file
Then - Sematic error(s) in DCL file acadmap.dcl. See file acad.dce for details.
Then error in DCL file ade.dcl
Then on the command line it says it cant read hatch pattern.

I am lost and confused.

Sounds like a problem with your support path. Edit the options, go to the
Files page and check the support file search path. There should be a path
that appears as follows, with your name where I've placed the question
marks.

C:\Documents and Settings\??????\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD
2006\R16.2\enu\support

Search your hard drive for the base.dcl. You should find it in this folder.

Hey Gang;

I recall a reminder from the Deskers that you would have to perform a Repair
on C3D 2006, if you uninstall ANY AutoDesk product subsequent to the
installation of 2006.

Someone please correct me IIR incorrectly, but it couldn't hurt.
