assembly offset

why does my assembly offset not show up in my cross sections?

This may sound like a smart remark, but is it within the swath and if it is do you have the sample line recognizing it?

R10 - 2020 ACAD
2008 - 2020 Civil 3D
2014 - 2020 Plant 3D
2014 - 2020 Revit
V8i - V8i SS4 Microstation
Infraworks
2018-2020 Inventor
2020 Navisworks

You won't like this, but assembly offsets don't show up in section views. You need to create your top surface and show that in the cross sections.

You MAY get one to show up if your offset alignment is EXACTLY paralle to the CL alignment, but probably not.

You ever seen that happen, Matt? Back when I was ranting about offsets a few months ago, I tried doing exactly that: two single-segment alignments exactly parallel, one for baseline, one for offset. The offset subassembly did NOT show up on the sections. Just curious to know if it has EVER worked.

AD: This still NEEDS fixing.

Ok, no I haven't been able to get it to work. Dude from Autodesk said it might work.
