architectural type font

is it possible to have a architectural type font in civil 3d?

You can use almost any font you want, simple set the text style up and apply it to your object styles. Personally I prefer the true type fonts using Arial or variations (i.e.. Italic, bold etc.) and have been using it since LDD 2000i (via script). If you have a lot of styles set up you may just want to change the text style you are using for simplicity vs. changing your object styles. This will also give you an opportunity to test different fonts.
