Why does my slope pattern do this?

I'm trying to show slope patterns for a corridor. The result that I get is shown in the attached picture. I selected "Daylight" and "EPS" as my feature lines. It worked on 3 shorter corridors, but not two others. It is getting very frustrating that the more I explore the features of this program, the fewer I find that actually work.

Hi Kevin,

When selecting the two corridor feature lines to pattern between, ensure the
first feature line you pick is the one that more nearly parallels the
baseline alignment. For your case, ensure you pick EPS as the initial
feature line, and the Daylight feature line as the second.

Why is this?

To compute the direction of the slope patterns lines we try to move in a
direction orthogonal to the initially selected feature line, but we must use
some geometry from the horizontal alignment to do this.

If the Daylight feature line is selected first, there are situations (as I
believe you've encountered), where the direction of the slope pattern lines
project onto a different position on the horizontal alignment.

If this doesn't work for you, let me know and we can dig deeper.
