Why Civil 3D is slow???!!!!

i am just wondering why it is taking a long time to process either of the followings:
adding a contour label
zoom extent
open + save
open another drawing
and the usage of any civil 3D command which is taking forever!!!!
altough the hardware we r using is more advanced than the specifications mentioned for using the civil 3D.
please help me because i am a forever user of autodesk products and i dont want to change to a different product and keep the Civil 3D in its box!!!!!

Would you provide your hardware operating system information, Acad programs&
version, etc, on a network? other programs running on your computer at the
same time?
Someone can probably provide some help if they have this info.
