What is your opinion about QTO ?

I'm astonished of what a bad tool is QTO.

IMHO it lacks of a lot of functionality.

For example. highlight method to find which elements are or not linked to a pay item is a total madness.....

The imposibilty to evaluate corridor shapes ...... Oh my god. .....

What do you think ?

Thanks

< There's also the big elephant in the room: printed plans. You can have a great model and design, but unless a contractor can see it it's pretty useless.

I get designs for car parks roads etc all the time from revit architecture.

Revit can't do surfaces like c3d it does not understand what a break line is or a curved surface is (from what I understand)

Geometry is not tangential, overlaps etc i end up redrawing it.

Right tool for the job! I have checked earthwork quantities from revit vs civil3d and I reckon it's about 5-7% different from what civil 3d says.

If you use c3d wisely it does give good results butt it's only as good as the data you have.

Architects and their funny little world that starts at 0,0,0 and everything in mm units regardless of where they are in the real world.........gotta love them
