What is an ADTS Audio file?

civil3d is creating audio files upon fatal error. Does anyone know what these are?

Hi Joe,

The ADT files are files that get created when you run AUDIT command. The reason they show up as audio files may be that the default for ADT was set to be one of the programs such as Windows Media Player or Real Player. If you open it with Notepad you will see its content. You may want to change the defaults, too.

Hi Almas, do I want to keep those files?

Hi Joe,

You don't have to. They are good for troubleshooting only in case you want to send them for investigation.

For all the good submitting files to Autodesk does, you'd be better off trying to listen to the files...!!!!!!!!

Hello,  I am getting these files in my folders and I haven't run an audit.  Is doing a recover the same thing?

Or are they just created automatically if your computer crashes??

I have been having trouble with files, all my layers are being discarded and turned into an AUDIT_BAD_LAYER and then the file is virtually useless.

Why is this happening?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Carole
