Ways to transfer data

Hello,

My question is is there a way to transer data from other drawings to another without using xml or having to create a vault?

What kind of data?

Most objects will survive copy+paste and/or wblock+insert.

Data shortcuts are available for some objects such as alignments, surfaces, and pipe networks.

A database is available for use with cogo points.

It was data from a surface and yes data shortcut worked.
