I've been playing with the plan production tools in Civil 3D to see if they work well for my company....and I have a few questions, for anyone who's good with these tools.
1- is there any way, when creating the sheets, to bring in an Xref'd titleblock, as most people like to do? The tutorial only shows how to bring in block references as titleblocks, and I can't see how to use Xrefs. I suppose you COULD xref a titleblock into the dwt, and then change the reference to the correct titleblock later?
2- when you create the view frames and subsequent sheets along an alignment, there is a 'white space' shown at the edge near the match line, to block out view of the next frame in line.
a- what the heck is that white space? How do they do it? I havent been able to figure that out.
b- my engineers don't like it. How do I make it stop creating it, or erase it?
Thanks for any help!
I used to use XRef Title blocks, but with SSM and Fields in Attributes of my Titleblock I no longer need to.
The white space (mask) is controlled by the MatchLine style. You can turn off the visibility in the style's properties.
I still use xref tblock (incase I need a global change for logos, frame layout yada yada). Also, I have for different vp scales.
