Vehicle Tracking: Hatch Issue

I am using Autodesk Vehicle Tracking 2014 with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014.  Using a Hatch Envelope under:

Drawing setting settings

> Paths

> Reports

> Report 0001 Body and Chassis Envelopes

> Body outline (plan)

> Edit...

> Envelope Tab

Under "Attributes" I checked the "Fill" box.  So, now when I draw my vehicle, it shows a solid hatching in its path.

However, when I make the vehicle intersect its own path, the hatch gets cut off.  In my attachment, it cuts off the top of the loop-dee-loop Does anybody have a solution for this issue so that the hatch does not get messed up?

I would bet the app is calling up the AutoCAD hatch command which has issues with overlapping boundaries.

I would try opening the hatch dialog and create a hatch with th island recognition changed to 'Ignore'.

This may save the setting so new hatches created by AVT will use it.

If that doesn't work, explode the path to plines if needed and use mapclean to break crossing objects, delelte dups and  remove zero len objects. Then recreate the hatch with the new linework.

That's the answer! Thank you so much.

You have to turn off Island detection.
