Can't figure out how to match gutter slope to outside lane super subassembly slope. See attached image for my current settings. Have super eop targeting a feature line with elevations, but when i check section editor gutter slope doesn't match pavement slope. Any help would be appreciated.

You say you have your edge of pavement targeting a feature line for elevations? That means that it's not utilizing any superelevation, it's targeting something else for elevation. The UrbanCurbGutterGeneral subassembly utilizes only the outside lane superelevation slope, fixed slope, or depth of flowline from flange point - if you're utilizing a vertical target for your lane slope, there's no way the gutter can match that.
Is there any other method to make curb gutter slope match pavement slope without using superelevation.
I had a really nice answer typed out explaining why you couldn't do this when I had an epiphany - but I need to test it. Can you send me your drawing as it stands right now so I can check a parameter? I want to see if what I'm thinking about will pull from a target elevation or pull a fixed number from somewhere else. In the Assembly Properties (not the sub assembly properties) go to the Construction tab and find the curb and gutter. On the line for the gutter slope, select the check box for "Parameter Reference" and then reference the lane slope. This will allow the gutter to pick up the slope of the lane that was just drawn.

That's exactly where I was headed with it, Peter - but is that paramter going to pull from the slope entered for the lane subassembly or will it read the slope on a per-station basis and pull from that? That's what I wanted to check on.
It get the slope as the corridor is built from the lane that was just constructed. This is exactly the condition that this feature was designed to handle - passing values from one sub assembly to be used by another.

Is this really warranted? We had this discussion in-house in the past. At least in our area, contractors do not change the gutter slope to match a roadway cross slope. They are using curb machines that have a pre-formed curb & gutter shape that is locked at 2% for our work. If you are requiring them to match the slope are they hand forming all the curbs?
When we are superelevating the roadway we are using a curb that does not have a gutter section or we just leave it with the standard gutter slope. It does leave you with the gutter sloping away from CL and the lanes sloping toward the CL in areas, but this has not been a problem here.

Finally was able to try what you suggested and that worked great, exactly what i was looking for. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet standard curbs require the gutter slope to match the pavement slope. Appreciate all the help.
Digging up an old thread from the past--
I am building a corridor to widen one side of a road. The road cross-slope on the side I am modeling varies from a positive grade to a negative grade as the road follows its alignment.
I would like to understand how the gutter slope parameter passing mechanism works as Peter and Jason described above (back in 2011).
My assembly is composed of OverlayWidenMatchSlope, and UrbanCurbAndGutterGeneral. When I select the gutter slope to be "Outside lane slope", I get a constant 2.0%, because my corridor is not using any superelevation, and I understand that - it defaults to the fixed slope exactly as Peter and Jason described.
However, when I go into the 'Construction' tab for my assembly, and try to check the 'Parameter Reference' box for the gutter assy, the 'Get Value From' box only reads 'None', and the checkbox clears itself when I rebuilt the corridor. I don't see any option to tell it where to get the instantaneous cross-slope.
Supposing I need the gutter pan to follow the road cross-slope, how do I make this work?
Yes, good morning. I am trying to find the UrbanCurbGutterGeneral.pkt file in Autodesk to open in Subassembly Composer 2013 to edit for our puposes of designing a curb and gutter that trasnsistion in gutter width as well as curb height. Any ideas would be appreciated.
