Update pipe changes from SSA in civil 3D

Dear all,

I have made changes to a pipe network in SSA. i then want to my civil 3d file to update with these changes. i do the following as per a video online line from BIM on the rock.

In SSA

file > export as Hydroflow storm sewer file.> save it

In C3D

click on a  pipe - on the contextual ribbon i click _______ import file > choose the appropiate file (as above)

Nothing updates

i dont know what i am doing wrong as i am following the video exactly as outline above. is there something obvious that i am overlooking.

i am using 2014 versions.

thanks in advance

Sean

That should work. Did you create the SSA file by exporting said pipe network out first? If so, when you bring it in, it should inform you that there is already a network in the drawing with that name.
