Uninstalling C3D 2006...

I am trying to uninstall 2006 (I have had 2007 since it came out) and I am getting a bizarre message about a fatal error during the process killing the whole deal. Error message 1712 regarding some files it cannot return...

I have tried uninstalling 2007 first...
I have tried repairing the 2006 installation first...
I have tried repairing the 2006 registry first...
I have tried reinstalling 2006 first...

Anyone run into this before??

Jeff

Can always try the Brute Force uninstall.
Delete everything you can find by autodesk and run the Microsoft clean up utility.

yes

the only solution i found was to flush my m70 down the toilet sometime
midmay

seriously though

it happened to me more than once. brute force uninstall is the only answer
i found. and even then there were gremlins.

I tried to uninstall C3D 2006 when I exchanged it for C3D Pro (with Civil Design Companion) and was issued new media with a new license number (seemed more complicated than it needed to be, but that's another story). Anyway, when I tried to uninstall the original C3D it failed, and when I tried to install the new C3D I got a message stating that C3D was already installed. I tried everything, including cleaning out the registry, and nothing worked. Finally I just did a clean install of Windows.
