Unhandled Exception (Only for one particular file)

Hello,

I've been working this past few days on a Civil 3d 2014 file.

Today, when I finally concluded the roads and intersections, I generated the FG surface (pasting all the corridor surfaces onto a new surface) and then made a Cut&Fill surface, which I labeled with a "spot on elevation grid (@ 1m)".

After that, I had a Fatal Error close my file... and now i can't get it to open!! I've tried to open it many times but I keep getting a different "Unhandled Exception" every time, for example:

  • 1314b5e0h
  • 12d1b5e0h
  • 13d2b5e0h and so on...

I've worked heavier files on my computer (this one is only 9.80MB), so this shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know what could be wrong here, and this problem only shows up for this particular file; I can work on any other Civil3D 2014 file I want, but not this one (which I have a due date for today!). I already tried changing the BAK file to DWG but I get the same problem.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone?

The error always ends with "b5eoh", not sure if this means something...

Thanks.

Have you tried this:

File -> Drawing utilities -> Recover

I can't believe I had not tried that before... I can't be this dumb...

Thanks a lot Bill. The file is working a little too slow now, but at least I can work on it.

Thanks again.

Suggest you start a new thread to get more help coming your way.
Include the symptoms, what & when the problem started, and your version of C3D and your computer hardware & software information.
