Undo Outrage..... AND I MEAN OUTRAGED!

I have been through SR's and have not yet received resolution to this. I have posted here and cannot figure out what is wrong, and oddly some responders do not have this issue.

How can it go on for so long?

Do I have a faulty setup through out our office? How is it my 2013/2014 undo command still does not work; hundreds of command get into the undo buffer as a result of pan zooming, making it nearly impossible to undo something.

I find it odd that this topic doesn't flood these boards to force the hand to make a patch?

If I'm way off base (let me know and I humbly apologize), and have some faulty system variable set to drive me insane please let me know. What are your settings people who don't seem to have an undo issue in 13 or 14? Why would mine be wrong installing OOTB?

What is the Name of Mike is the freakin fix for this?

Another tiny bug that could probably be fixed in 15 minutes. I wonder if this will be in the next hotfix or SP?

Not importing ambient settings makes the import tool almost useless.

Many Feature Settings and Command Settings also do not come along for the ride when using the Import Styles tool.

We had to rebuild our dwt due to an unrelated issue in our Template and started with the OOTB Acad.dwt.

Basically navigated the entire Settings Tab of Toolspace while referencing screen shots from the old dwt

to correct & verify same settings etc.

Certainly wouldn't want to go this route with each version upgrade here.

Ok, what am I missing here?
<Snip Start reviewing settings and styles in the "new template" and several things are either missing or were ignored during the import. >

I think you answered your own question 🙂

Do you start from OOTB for every upgrade and redo/import?

I found a block definition with the hatch in it. I overlooked for so long because the properties palette did not list any AH

Have there been any exceptions to the annotative hatch fix solution?  I'm guessing not considering that nobody in this thread history has said anything otherwise.  I'll go with it for now, but if I have the problem again and can't find any AH's, I'll come back a'squakin'!!  As happy as I'll be to be able to truly combine pan and zoom, using annotative hatches was part of my regular process from time to time.

I stumbled accross this blog post just the other day. I haven't tried it, but I wonder if it still works. (Dates from 2011 release.)

Yes it does, we have several dwt's on our network and the only purpose they serve is to set our various PN Object Layers using that workaround.

We also use Sincpac -C3D which has an import / export object layers routine that's much faster.

So by removing annotative hatch from block solve this problem? I went through my template some time ago and looked for this in all my point blocks (symbols) and could not find a single one that had annotative hatch. I do however have some blocks that are annotative, as that I also use as point blocks.

I had sucess by removing the annotative hatch ( I found it in one of our structure styles). However, as I progressed with production the problem crept back. I can only assume it is do to older drawing being attached that have the hatch

I just added HPASSOC=0 in my acaddoc.lsp file. Now to get a reminder to all users on how to use quickselect to find exisitng associative hatches...
