Yes. Do that. If you hadn't said the program was just reinstalled. I'd say that would be the next step.

What Workspace do you have set?

You can also type WORKSPACE on the command line and then ?.

I'll have to think about this. In the mean time. Try starting Civil 3D through the Start menu.

I've been out of work. So I haven't thought about it much. But....

Can you log on as a different users and see if the trouble persists?

If you can access the commands under a different user name THIS might help you. If you aren't comfortable editing the registry. Ask your IT to help.

While they're there. You might as well have them run a Repair on Cvil 3D.

I understand the frustration. It's difficult to diagnose this from a distance. I think the real issue is - Why are you getting fatal errors? If it's a new computer. I'm assuming that it's 64 bit. It may be that Civil 3D 2009, as a 32 bit program, has trouble with the 64 bit OS. What are the spec's on your computer?

Just something to mention in regards to this. Something you might want to inform your bosses about. I'm thinking that you're not on subscription since you're still on 2009.

As of Feb 1 2005 Autodesk will no longer offer upgrade options from non-current software. After February 1, 2015 you will lose all equity in your expired licenses. This upgrade policy change will not affect licenses that are currently on subscription. Also, for a limited time only, Autodesk is offering a Buy One, Get One Free promotion on eligible Autodesk product upgrades from versions R14 to 2007 until Jan 24 2014.

What this means is that after Feb 1, 2015 you'll have to pay full price to upgrade to a current version of Civil 3D. It may be time to upgrade to a 64 bit version of the software. Just a thought.
