I insert toolbars into my C3D 2014 workspace.
I move or shrink the workspace, and then restore it.
The toolbars have moved!
Not all of them; just some.
Same thing happens when I leave the program (turn it off) and then re-open it.
How do we keep these toolbars where we want them?
I've created profiles, etc., to no avail. They still move, and not into predictable spots.
Thanks.
Save the Workspace once the Toolbars are setup as desired.
Command: WSSAVE
That works as long as the OP skips the "Restore" part mentioned right?
I would check the Workspace Settings and make sure Automatically Save Workspace Changes is toggled. It's not by default.
My preference is to keep the workspace saves to manual. When they are automatic, virtually *anything* that is considerd a change will cause the new workspace to overwrite the previously saved version. For example, if you have a central/network located CUIx and it cannot be found for some reason, the UI will change and the workspace will be saved. Oops, there goes all your custom toolbars and Ribbon panels and you can't restore them. Better, I think, to deliberately place UI elements and say "Yes, this is what I want".
Also a good idea to understand which workspace is being used, where it is being read from/stored to, and whether it is being called as a start-up argument.
