Symbol under the viewport control

Hi,

 

I'm usind Civil 3D 2013, and this morning, I have this symbol that appeared under my Viewport Control. What is it and can it be removed?

That is the Level of Detail indicator. Enter LEVELOFDETAILOFF to turn it off.
