What does this mean.

From my experience that message appears when you  update a survey network (right-click on it and select Update) and when you imported the survey data you had "process linework" checked.

Changes you have made to the survey data may affect your survey figures. It is not nessesarily straight forward to update the figures to reflect any changes, see the post at the link below for details.
