I normally create a tin in my existing survey using the points and/or
contours. Then to create a profile, I save the existing survey drawing as my
profile drawing so I can use the tin for my existing surface. I have a
template for my profile settings and want to use this with starting up a new
drawing and not using the existing survey drawing, saving as profile. Point
is, is there a way to create the surface in the existing survey drawing, and
import that somehow into my new profile drawing so I can use the surface?
1) Create new drawing using the profile template I created.
2) Import the tin (existing surface) I create in my survey drawing.
3) Create my profile alignment using this surface.
Is this possible without having to use the option of exporting a point file,
import it in my profile drawing and creating the surface in the profile
drawing. This way just takes too long and saving my existing survey drawing
as my profile base drawing just seems redundant to me, plus, I can't use my
template I created for the profile settings. This has just been a major pain
for me. ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE??????
