I have a file I have been working with for a few months now, and all of a sudden, the existing surface has crapped out on me. The surface and linework is thill there, but it wont label elevations or even list them. If I explode thew surface the resulting polylines are intact with elevations.
Is it a data shortcut? If so, try deleting the reference and re-inserting it. Have you audited the drawing?
Thank you for the reply. Its not a shortcut.Audited it, fixed whatever was wrong and its still acting up.
Its been fine up until today.
You could try copying and pasting the exploded contours (with correct elevations) into a blank drawing, creating a surface from those contours, and data referencing it into the file with the issue.
i went and recreated the surface. Same issue. Created a new surface from pretend contours, sasme thing. There is a bug in this file apparently.
Need a little more info please:
What version are you using? SPs up to date?
You say you recreated the surface, did you do this in the same drawing? Have you tried a new drawing?
What is the data used for your surface? Points, breaklines, etc?
If points, are they native in the drawing or from a point file?
