Surface contours correct with one layer state - incorrect with a second.

I have a surface that shows perfectly when restoring the PCSM layer state (Old LMAN function)

When I restore the Grading layer state - the surface contours show incorrectly.

It is like a hide or mask feature turns on and off.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Something in the layer state is turning something off.  Can you post a screenshot of what you mean by 'incorrect' contours?

Meanwhile, check the layer the surface is on as an object, and all the layers used in its style.  See if any of them are being turned on & off by these layer states.
