Surface Data

Greetings
I have created a surface. This surface extends about 100 feet beyond the property boundary. Is there a way I can get the slope analyses with data from within the property line only excluding any slope data outside the property line?

Look into using a data clip boundary in your surface. HTH

What I do is make a copy of the surface, rename it to <Surface> Slope Analysis (or whatever fits your standards), then us a Polyline representing the property line as a surface border. Then I can display the slopes in that surface. I like to do it that way because it's then easy to show the contours extending outside the property lines and the slopes within the property lines at the same time.

Also, instead of a copy you can make a new surface
and paste the old one into it, then apply a boundary.  This way if the
original surface changes, this one will change too, not so with a
copy.

Good luck.

Good point Matt. Usually by the time I'm ready to display the slopes the EG is well established. But better safe than sorry. I'll change our procedure to pasting rather than copying. Thanks.
