Surface Analysis - Save the Range Details

All,

I have a question concerning running a surface analysis and saving the range
details and scheme.

When we do subdivision planning work we have to always produce a "slopes
analysis" maps of the site showing the areas in the following ranges;
Map 1
<14.99%
15%-34.99%
35%<

Map 2
<14.99%
15%-24.99%
25%-34.99%
35%<

Map 3
<14.99%
15%-15.99
16%-16.99
.......
24.99%-25%
25%<

Ok, I hve no problem creating a surface. At this point I ussually run the
surface analysis for Map 1 defined above by setting the "Range Details" in
the surface properties dialog. However, I can't seem to SAVE this "range
detail" to a lenged or display style. This means that I have to always type
in the "range detail" when I when I want to run one of the standard Maps.

My question is, can the surafce properties analysis "range details" be
stored\saved in sa style or template such that standard analysis can be
quickly run?

What I have tried so far is to save my "range detail" in excel and past the
correct "map" when needed BUT I can't seem t paste into the surface
properties analysis tab. I then thought I could just set up "dummy" map
drawing that I could reference the surface into that already had the ranges
set-up. But when I reference (or shortcut) the "range details" reset.

Any ideas?

manually edit the mapramp.xml file found in the installation directory. you should then be able to recall and reuse any custom ranges.
