Super Elevation max slope at 2%?

All,

I am using Civil 3d 2013 and I am trying to calculate the superelevation information in which the curve will max at 2%. Is there a way in which the superelevation can be calculated using the superelevation wizard in which a 2% SE is the max? So far it will only let me use the SE for 4% local roads and I have to edit it using the SE layout.

Any advice or steps will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

-Lucas

2% is a standard crown slope and C3d the tables used are based on AASHTO design standards.
From AASHTO_ "Maximum superelevation rates of 4% and 6% are for urban areas."
Since at 2% there aren't major issues with rollover, friction and sliding this may be why the wizard
won't accept a value less than 4% as max.

Rather than using the tabular editor for adjusting superelevation you can do it  with grip edits in a Superelevation view.

The data used for superelevation calculations is stored in xml files here:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2012\enu\Data\Corridor Design Standards\Metric or Imperial\

With some work you can edit a copy of one of these files to create your own table with the values you want.
