Spot elevation with Marker issue?

I have a spot elevation with a marker as shown. The marker is just a hatched circle, then I want a line extending from the center of the circle. Does anyone know how to control this. Worst case scenario I can remove the marker and add a block to the style, but I was curious what the proper technique was?7-11-2013 12-55-05 PM.png

Thanks,
Dave

We have a "line" component added in the style and use the same anchor point as symbol to start the line.

And make sure there are no X,Y offset values on that line component anchor.

So my issue turned out to be that my line, although it was set to feature, had top left as the start point anchor. Thanks jay, you post made me start looking at the nitty gritty details.

Thanks,
Dave
