Speed of C3D 2006

The C3D 2006 is really very slow when running and modelling a big drawing. Currently I'm working on a 250 acre project but the C3D 2006 is very slow and used up too much memory of my pc. I wonder i should upgrade my RAM to 2G...o any idea how to increase the speed and performance of C3D when dealling with big files and drawing?

as per Angel, you'll see that SP3 speed as far as corridors is much faster....;) I would have to agree....;)

Definitely upgrade to 2007. I have an 1,195 acre site that takes 1/6th the
time to generate in 07 than it did in 06.

Also, register for tomorrows webcast. it is entitled "Working with Ultra
Large Surfaces in Civil 3D 2007".
