Hey Mr. Simeone or C3D crew-members;
This showed up over in the LDT DG this morning, and I'm wondering if
someone on the Development Team could answer the gentleman's needs.

Please could help me with a few things.
I'm a Civil Engineer and
need help with design software. Up until now I have
been using al sorts of
software for all my design. (Civil Design (has
nothing to do with Autocad) -
from Knowledge Base for Roads - Land
Development to generate DTM surfaces
and then PipeMate from TechnoCAD (works
inside of Land Development) for the
Sewer and Storm Water Design, Water
design I have been using a spread
sheet.)
My problem is what do I do? I hear that Land Development is on
its way out
and I have not been able to get an evaluation copy of Civil 3D
as there is
no support in South Africa. I would like to do every thing in
the Autocad
environment.
Does Civil 3D create DTM surface the same
way as in Land Development or as
they do in Map 3D? I have tried to create a
DTM surface in Map 3D but for
the life of me can not.
Your help is
much appreciated
