Slow docked panel flyouts

Has anyone come across a way to speed up the time it takes for a docked panel (like Properties or Xrefs) to retract faster after the cursor has left the panel? It takes a second or two before it goes away and, like all production CAD guys, I would like that to be near instantaneous. Thanks for your help.

You can use Jimmy Bergmark's excellent free utility called
"PaletteHideAutoSpeed" which is on his website at

I thought I'd through this thread back to the top.  I'm usually on a computer with two screens, so I don't need to dock any windows, but I'm not remoting into a computer in another office, and I'm limited to one window, so I am pretty much forced to dock windows like SSM and Xrefs.

I absolutely hate waiting for these windows to minimize after I'm done with them.  Does anyone know a way to speed up their close times?
