Slant text in linetypes

Anybody know how to get text to show up in a linetype with an oblique angle? I tried using a text style that has an oblique, but the linetype still shows the text not obliqued........

My opinion: Make your own shapes as required/desired using the MKSHAPE
express tool and use those instead of text. (TXTEXP is handy for exploding
text into lines for use by MKSHAPE.) This would avoid any display problems
caused by style issues.
