Sewer Label Problems (Data Shortcut)

I have a file with a pipe network and an alignment data shortcut-ed into it. The pipe network and the alignment reside in separate files. Every time the sheet is opened, the stationing on the labels reads ???. I can go into the prospector and set the reference alignment for all of them, and then the stationing shows up. When I go to print, I can see the stationing in the print preview but the printed sheets always show the ???. What is my problem?

I think Chuck in our office figured it out. In order to get them to stick you need to set the alignment in the Pipe Network Properties, you just can’t set the reference alignment in the part section of the network. If you change a part to a particular reference that is not the default Pipe Network Properties it will not take and will revert back to the Pipe Network Properties reference alignment. So if you want to data shortcut a sewer network that references different street centerlines you need to have a sewer network for each street.

This is odd since you can change the reference of the part in the source drawing to different alignments and surfaces. Hopefully this changes in future versions and the data shortcut will bring over the reference of the part in the network.
