okay what is with this? I just notice this.
as a test... I draw a 3D polyline with at least 4 vertexes.
I then use the tool "SET GRADE/SLOPE BETWEEN POINTS", under the Grading / Edit Feature Lines.
1) Select a feature line, survey figure, parcel line or 3D polyline: - " I pick the 3D polyline", yes i doubled checked
2) Specify the start point: - " I pick one of the ends"
3) Specify elevation <00.000>: " I enter a value of 20.00 "
4) Specify the end point: " I pick the other end "
OUTPUT> Distance 1100.9747', Grade -1.817, Slope -55.049:1, Elevation 0.000'
Specify grade or [Slope/Elevation/Difference] <-1.817>: E
5) Specify elevation <0.000>: " I enter a value of 25.00 "
OUTPUT> Distance 1100.9747', Grade 0.454, Slope 220.195:1, Elevation 25.000'
Select a feature line, survey figure, parcel line or 3D polyline:
6) I check the vertex elevation and behold they are still set at elevation zero!!
^^^^^^^^THE ABOVE WAS ON C3D-2008^^^^^^^
Now I will repeat the same steps as above but using C3D-2007 and it will work!!
what kind of dance move is this? 1 step forward, 5 steps back !
can someone else try what i just did.
also i did check and the layer is not locked and a 3d polyline, i copied it into C3D-2007 and it worked. also both test were done in a clean new drawing and i rebooted as well still the same.
Thanks
