I am comparing surfaces to compute volumes for a road excavation. I placed the surfaces within the same boundaries and ran the cut/fill report which seemingly calculated the correct quantities.
However, when I created the sections I noticed the surface comparisons did not match the limits of the boundaries that I have drawn. Basically, the excavation only widens the road on either side of the alignment, but the surface comparison is showing some of the cut and fill going right across the entire road. Now I am worried that these volumes were included in the report.
If you look at the attached screenshots of the boundaries and corresponding sections it may clarify my problem.
Has anybody had this problem or know how to fix it? One of the C3D users from our desing team believes it may be a software glitch.
