Scaling by two points

Hi I was wondering what I have to do to scale some lines/objects in my drawing.. I have done this before but its been years and I cannot remember how to do it, I'm looking to scale the object by picking two points on it then referenceing to it by clicking on two points of my scale..

So I know theres a distance of say 100' of the object but its not to the correct scale I want to scale the object from that distance to the distance shown on the scale.

Thanks

Use the scale command for AutoCAD objects. Once you provide a base point, you can enter R for the reference option. You can then pick source and destination points. Here is the command line using the above.

Command: sc SCALE
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 1 found

Select objects:
Specify base point:  <Osnap on>
Specify scale factor or [Copy/Reference]: r
Specify reference length <1.0000>:  Specify second point:
Specify new length or [Points] <1.0000>:
