My surface is no longer being created when I use the grading tools to grade at a 3:1 slope to the existing slope. It shows the feature lines at the toe of slope and on the corners but doesn't seem to be generating any contours in between. Does anyone have any idea why it is no longer working for me?
A few things come to mind. Do you have automatic surface creation turned on
for the gradings? If so then are you sure the surface is not being created?
Could it be that the surface display style is not set to show contours? Is
automatic surface rebuild turned on? Are the contour layers and surface
layer turned on?
