SP3 - Locked or unlocked?

I have a network deployment. AutoCAD license reads from the ADLM on our
server. Which service pack do I use - locked or unlocked? Help --> About
--> License Information only lists "Network".

Nick,

What is the difference between the "locked" and "unlocked" version of SP3?

Thanks,

The locked version of the service pack is intended for those computers with
the locked version of Civil 3D. The unlocked version of the service pack is
intended for those computers with the unlocked version of Civil 3D. Most
customers (including network licensed versions) have the locked version.

I hate to sound stupid here, but what exactly is a "locked" and "unlocked" version of Civil 3D?

Thanks again,

Melanie,

The "Locked" version of Civil 3D is the typical version that uses the
standard software locking system from Autodesk. Download and install the
"Locked" version for both standalone and network versions of Civil 3D.

The "Unlocked" version was posted for the rare customer that has an
alternative network licensing system.

This is exactly what I was looking for.

Maybe this information about which to choose with a Network license would be informative on the download page?
