SHOW SLOPE DEGREES INSTEAD OF SEGMENT GRADE

Hello,

Is it possible to show Slope Degrees instead of Segment grade?

Or an expression that can show this?

Thanks

Allan

Allan,

For what, a line label?

The segment grade is (rise/run), so the inverse tangent of the general segement grade will give you the angle. This is a general line label style expression including the conversion from radians to degrees. Hope this helps.

RAD2DEG(ATAN({General Segment Grade}))

Thanks for the replies,

I still cant work this out. If you can have a look at the attached Id appreciate any help on this. In the revision cloud we want to show Slope degrees.

Many thanks if you can find a solution.

The expression that Citadel suggested will work for you as part of a label, but it cannot be used within a band style like you are currently using.  What you can do is create labels and place them so that they appear to be part of the band.

I started by creating Citadel's expression in the Section - Label Styles - Segment area.  I called it SegmentAngle.  Then I created a new Section Segment label style and added the expression as a parameter.  Notice the Anchor Point for this component.

I then deleted the labels from your existing band and added the new labels to the section view using the settings shown.

THanks so much, any chance you can send me the file?
The screen shots are somewhat pixelated and hard to read.

I'm using 2014 so the drawing won't be of any use for you.  The pics should be high enough resolution.  Try saving the images and viewing them in another program.
