Revising a surface based on a LandXML file

If your surface was created from a LandXML file, can you update the LandXML file and then rebuild the surface to reflect the new LandXML file? I can't get the program to do this. Am I missing a step?

I want to do this because our existing surface will be changing as we get additional aerial topo and I am using a LandXML file to try to keep file size down.

Thanks

So your surface was initially built from an XML file? If so, check to see
if trhat surface has a snapshot. If so, delete the snapshot. This will
allow the surface to rebuild based on the new XML file. Consider creating
another snapshot after the rebuild.

Before you rebuild the surface, go to "Surface Properties", "Definition" tab.
In the lower pane, you will see an "Operation type" called "Import XML File". Under "Parameters", click on the folder icon and re-select the updated XML file. Then rebuild the surface.
I've been using a surface built form an XML file in my current project. The above described method has worked for me on several updates of the surface.

I will try your suggestion in a week or so. I have another update to the topo coming in then.

Thanks for the help
