I don't want to disable OSnapZ. What I'd like to do is to find a way that would prevent the automatic picking of 0 elevation when there are 2 endpoints, or other osnap points, that are coincident in the X,Y but have different Z values. One of the Z's being 0.
I get a lot of work in 2D and have to do the grading. I'm always having to switch off the proposed 2D layer to be able to pick the 3D end of a Polyline or a Featureline.

When promted to select the point in question with overlapping lines, I hit the tab key (or shift + Space) to cycle through the objects. When I see the object I want to snap to highlighted I select the point. Works fairly well. The AutoCAD Selection Cycling (CTL + W) also works but it slows my pc.

Good one John!
I didn't think it was working. But I have selection preview on. So I had to get a little off the line I wanted in order to see the selection changing.

Glad to help Allen. I have been picking up unwanted zeros for quite some time now. 🙂
