Restore Default Workspace

Is there a way to restore the original Civil3D workspace that ships with the
product? Mine somehow was drastically modified and I would like to start
over from the default.

Thanks,

WSCURRENT and at the prompt type in "Civil 3D" without the quotes.

Hi Himanshu,

I appreciate the reply but that only sets the workspace current. I'm trying
to restore the "Civil 3D" workspace back to the way it was when it was
installed.

Thanks,

You _might_ be able to go dig into the user data cache, and copy out the CUI
files there and replace the ones you've modified. Can't recall how well that
works.

Good idea James...the civil 3d CUI file's default location is:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk Civil 3D 2006\UserDataCache\Support\Civil.cui

Copy that over to your profile:

%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Autodesk\C3D 2006\enu\Support

Your paths may vary. Let us know how that works out.

Works like a charm. I had somehow corrupted my CUI file and was getting execptions. Almost all of my menus were gone.

I followed the above instructions and everything is fine.

Thanks.

Location of files has changed but this still helped me today.

A thread from fifteen years ago. I wonder if I read it when it was fresh. 😉

You can try this:

Start >> Autocad Civil 2d {version} >> Reset Settings to Default
