Reports Manager using Firefox not IE

I have configured my reports manager to use Firefox and not IE but it does
not seem to want to use the registered browser. I set up the XSL filetypes
to use Firefox and when I execute the manager I get the attached error
message. What to do?

This seems to be a side-effect of installing 2008 SP1.

I have not found any workaround, short of switching your default browser to IE whenever you want to run a report.

But what if it does not work even if I apply IE to the XSL filetypes? I get
the same messsage. Do your reports open using IE?

have you guys tried using the "IE TAB" Addon for firefox? Its a great addon that allows Firefox to intrepret sites as IE from with a nifty little button at the bottom right of the screen. I have used it for quite some time now and it works great with the reports as well as many of the autodesk pages and other sites requiring IE.

Yes, I've been using IE Tab for probably a couple of years, but I can't figure out how to get C3D reports to open in Firefox using IE Tab. How did you do it?

You shouldn't be assigning the XSL file type to the browser. All that does is tell Windows to use the browser to open the XSL file if you double-click on it.

Instead, open IE, and on Internet Options -> Programs tab, click on the "Make Default" button to switch your default browser to IE. (Or, open Internet Options in your control panel and do the same thing.)

Start up Firefox and go to Tools->Options->Main to switch the default browser back to Firefox.
