Renumbering Parcels

Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 SP 1

I'm not sure what is happening, but I am unable to renumber parcels.

I have a drawing with three sites (see attached). Each site is to start parcels numbers with the number 1. I used the Parcels-Parcel Layout command to create the parcels.

Parcels were created out of numerical order.

Procedure followed to attempt to renumber parcels in sequential order starting with 1.

Set all parcel numbers above maximum anticipated parcel number: Right clicked on Conerstone Site -> Properties->Numbering tab and changed next parcel automatic and manual counter to 1000.

Renumber Parcels: Parcels->Renumber Parcels

Verified correct site for parcels and accepted Increment format of 1000 and 1.

Picked inside parcel 50 and dragged line across a row of parcels (8 total).

Parcel numbers did not change.

Exported LandXML file.

Created a new drawing.

Imported LandXML.

Attempted same technique to renumber parcels.

Same result, parcels numbers did not change.

Want to see something really crazy?

In the same drawing, I turned on the parcel fill for the Parcel Style and fill boundaries were created all over the place.

OK, So I figured out that the Parcel Name is not the same as the Parcel Number.

But I still don't understand what is happening to the Parcel Fill Pattern.
