Rendering is extremely slow HELP

I have recently upgraded from a lap top to a custom desktop that i just had built.  I am still having trouble with the drawings rendering extremely slow when you switch layout take or try to orbit in 3D.  I use AutoCAD 2011 civil 3D.  It seems to never use more than 1.5 GB of ram.  Is there something i can configure to speed up this process?  This computer should be able to handle ANYTHING!!!

1) Install latest videocard driver from Autodesk website.

2) Make sure that hardware acceleration is turned on. To check go to Tools\Options\System\Performance Settings\Manual Tune.
