I amd trying to render a building I placed on my site and apply a camoflage paint to it. I got a camoflage bmp file to use in the materials dialog, the swatch looks good but i applies it in streaks. Does anyone know how I can get a good camoflage material created to aplly to my building?

I haven't done this in a while but a few questions.
Does it look correct on the other two sides?
What is the bld modeled with? c3d srf, acad solids? Are those two walls part of one object?
If it's one object have you tried using materialmap to reset or change the map shape to box? If so and this did not work I might try rendering the bld walls separate.

No

The building was made from press pulled rectangle and the roof an extruded triangle

Sorry for the logn delay.
How do I throw a few faces on it?
I tried a bunch of things ; difirent object type, planner surface, .... but I keep getting stripes. something must be housed up in the file; if I make a mesh cube in a blank drawiang I get this: maybe I'll make the building in its own file a ref it in

That is a good solution.
As for the faces, type 3dface into the command line and draw a 3d face on top of one of the wall faces. Repeat for each wall. Do this in 3d view of course. I think the faces render materials better.

Yes. I was going to suggest a Mesh. But I see you've found that out already.
