Rail - How to Control Sub-assemblies Points with Alignment Strings

I am working on a small rail project for the first time in Civil 3D.  It involves a main line, with a loop section parallelling the main line for a few hundred meters at a station.

For each rail line (main and loop) the track designers provide me with three lines (two tracks and a centre line) which I can import as alignments (with horizontal and vertical geometry) into Civil3D.  For each line (the main and the loop) I wanted to run an assembly comprising two "RailSingle" subassemblies, essnetially "hanging" the subassembly from the two track alignments.

I would appreciate any advice to point me in the right direction as I am having trouble even finding the right place to look in the help guide and forums.

Unfortunately our Track Designers will not use Civil3D for the track alignment.

Thanks

Brian
