Projects in Vault

Does a Vault project have to be created from within C3D inorder for it to be
visible with-in the prospector window?

Or, alternatively, is it possible to link to Vault Projects (folders)
created outside of C3D?

My preliminary testing has shown that only a project originally created in
C3D is available when I log in to Vault, and the many other project folders
currently in Vault for use with vanilla AutoCAD are not available.

That's correct. Only a project created via C3D will have the magic
folders, etc that tell C3D it is a C3D Project in the Vault framework.
The same thing occurs with Data Shortcuts.
