Profile Preview Problems

My profile preview no longer works (in the settings) after installing SP3. The preview DWG files are all there, but when I open them, they're blank. If I copy the DWG files to a machine without SP3 installed, they open properly. Anyone else have this problem or know how to correct it? All other previews work fine.

Thanks,

Kurt

Okay... here's what I've found. The drawing files that comprise the preview files for the profile settings (Profile Style.dwg, etc.) do not work correctly after installing SP3. This seems to affect the imperial profile preview files only. All others (including the metric profile preview files) work. I can copy the metric files over to the imperial directory, and the previews work (though the text is all scaled wrong).

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not familiar enough with the actual preview drawing files to modify/create my own, and I can't understand why they no longer work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Kurt

Perhaps you need to explain what a "preview drawing file" is. I have no
clue.

I have to admit, I'm at a loss too.

I create my profile view, it's there. No profile preview needed.

It's early on Sunday, though, and I haven't had my coffee yet - it's
easy to be confused this time of day...

I think I know what they're talking about. When you're setting up a style there is a little preview of it off to the side. These previews are controlled by a series of little drawings for each style type. Their profile preview drawing is jacked up.

I don't suppose an audit and save of this preview drawing after SP3 fixes it.

Sorry... I'm referring to the preview view in the settings tab. The preview that shows how different setttings will display in the actual profile drawing (grade labels, vertical curve data, etc.) The preview drawing files are stored under "Autodesk Civil 3D 2007\Data\Preview\Imperial\Profiles".

When I go to adjust the settings for the profile labels, I no longer get a preview... just a blank box.

Thanks,

Kurt

Nope. I tried opening the preview drawing files and saving them, and that didn't help.

Did anyone find a fix for this? I tried to copy the "Grading Style.dwg" from the installation cd and the Grading Style Preview still doesn't show up. It just has a horizontal line through the middle of the preview window. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not able to replicate this issue. Could this be caused by running a registry cleaner. Like the Norton reg cleaner and such. Registry cleaners can cause many problems of this type.
