Profile Labels Gone

I can't seem to label my pipe networks in my profile. THe pies aren't a big thing becasue I have the details in my band across the bottom but I need to be able to label my structures. I have gone through and checked that all my layers are on, rechecked my network settings, label styles and can't figure out why I cant add the labels. I tried single structure, multiple and network and nothing. Anyone know if I am missing something?

I also can't get back my plan view labels on my structures. When I created a few structures, I may have deleted the labels at that time but now I need to get them back and can't seeem to find them either. Is there a command somewere that says there is still a label if its not deleated properly? I had run into something like this back in 2008 but can't remember or find my notes on fixing it.

working with Civil 3D 2010.

What kind of info your labels pick up from the structure? Is it the name, description....For example, if your standard labels use the description field from the structure (which is the ACAD out-of-the-box setting) and you have nothing written in the description window in your structure properties, then you can't see the label even thou is in there. Also, audit your drawing.

The label syle is set up to display the MH#, rim elev, and pipe inverts and direction. I have a structure Name and discription and still nothing. I have run the Audit a few times and get no errors and I have also tried recovery and no errors there.

If you'd like to send me the drawing, I'll have a look at it for you.

Thanks. The drawing was sent. I was started in and brought up from LDD, if that makes any difference, most everything has been redone in 2010. I may have brought it in from 2008 I don't remember. Any suggestions you have are appreciated. Thanks again.

You're welcome.

I don't know HOW drawings lose the association with how they are displayed,
but this seems to work for your drawing:

Command: aecdisplay

Display [Properties/Sets/Configurations]: p

Display Properties [Attach/Drawing defaults/Purge]: d

In the dialog that comes up, just hit the OK button, nothing else. Then hit
enter until you return to the Command prompt.

Now try labeling the structures again.

HTH,
Jeff

From e-mails back and forth to Jeff he also came back with this helpful tip because I was using the Ribbon command for the network and they weren't working correct.

Hmm, now I AM seeing that the Ribbon commands from the PipeNetwork context menu don't seem to be working. What does work for me is: make sure no items are selected, go to the Annotation tab on the ribbon, choose Add labels, in the label dialog that comes up choose the PipeNetwork, Entire network profile, set the desired label styles, add labels.
